Question:

The MOM logs shows the following error. What does this error mean and how can I resolve this issue?

10/22/15 10:07:15.501 AM ART [WARN] [btpool0-25] [Manager.com.timestock.introscope.IntroscopeClient] The CEMDefinitionHandler extension was not found. If CEM integrates with Introscope agent version prior 9.0, then CEMDefinitionHandler.jar EM extension needs to be installed on the EM, otherwise the integration won't work properly.

Note that I found the following article. However I am not sure if it applies to my MOM/Agent/CEM combination.  Some of my agents are 8.x but the MOM and CEM are on 9.7.x.

Answer:

Use the CEMDefinitionHandler.jar file in an APM 9.x environment only if there are Introscope 8.x agents using the Problem Resolution triage functionality (i.e. matching APM CE [CEM] defects with transaction traces). The log message is only a warning. Not having this file does not impact any other product functionality. To obtain a copy of the CEMIntroscopeIntegrationKit which has the needed CEMDefinitionHandler.jar file, contact CA Support.
