Search Server installation fails during the integration process

Issue:
When attempting to install Search server, if the path were it is located the media files has a special character the installation will fail during the integration process and the product will not be installed correctly.

Errors like the following will be captured in the SearchServer_Install_xxx.log file:

Read/Modify XML File <local drive with special characters>\CASM_14.1.04_CommonPatchInstaller_Win\patches\xFlow\SearchServer\SearchConfig.xml
Status: ERROR
Additional Notes: ERROR - Could not read the specified XML file


Example of path with special character:  C:\Users\ServicesDesk\Desktop\Patch #4\CASM_14.1.04_CommonPatchInstaller_Win\CASM_14.1.04_CommonPatchInstaller_Win\patches\xFlow\SearchServer\SearchConfig.xml
Environment:
Service Desk Manager 14.1 Cum 3 or above
Cause:
The special character is not allowed to exist in the media installation files path
Resolution:
Uninstall the product using the instructions below:
1. Use the uninstaller utility (Change SearchServer Installation) located in the ..\CA\SC\CASearchServer\_SearchServer_installation directory.
2. Then remove the special character from the media installation path and reinstall the product.
