Issue:

With ITCM 14.0 some cadsmcmd commands return the error :

SDCMD<CMD000039>: The argument "os=ANY" is invalid.

It worked fine in version 12.9. Why ?

Example :
In version 12.9, following command is OK :

cadsmcmd targetcomputer action=create  name=COMP1 computertype=machine address=COMP1 os=ANY

User-added image

In version 14.0 same command is in error :

User-added image

Similar error could be seen with command cadsmcmd regproc

Resolution:

The list of OS in cadsmcmd commands has changed in R14.0

The list contains more OS than in R12.9 but ANY value has been removed from the list.

See https://docops.ca.com/ca-client-automation/14-0/en/reference/cli-command-reference/cadsmcmd-command-line-interface/cadsmcmd-commands/targetcomputer-target-computer-commands for the list of possible OS parameter values in R14
