Submitted sharedprefix.MICS.CNTL(MICSLS1) job in checklist to upgrade SAS. The job abends with U999 – and error message “ERROR: Physical file does not exist, sharedprefix.MICS.TEMPPARM”.
All CA MICS and SAS levels.
SAS discovered that this 'Physical file does not exist' error seems to only occur when TEMPPARM is allocated to a non-SMS data set.
1. Add SMS information to the allocation. For example, add STORCLAS=xxxx
2. Allocate the dataset before you submit the job and change the JCL in the MICSLS1 job to point to the dataset as DISP=OLD. Delete the dataset after the job completes successfully.
