Environment:

CA Workload Automation AE (WAAE) 11.3.6 SP[x] on UNIX/Linux.
SAP Sybase ASE Database.
Cause:

The installer could not locate the isql command due to the lack of Sybase ASE environment information.
Resolution:

Source the Sybase ASE environment profile before invoking the CA WAAE installer (wa_setup.sh).
Example:
# . /opt/sybase/SYBASE.sh
# isql -U sa -P <sa_password> -S $DSQUERY <<EOF
> select @@version
> go
> EOF

# ./wa_setup.sh

Note:
  • $DSQUERY defines the name of the Sybase data server.
  • Ensure the 'LANG' environment variable is unset from the shell with command `unset LANG` before invoking the WAAE installer (wa_setup.sh).
