Issue:

Sometimes router is not displayed on NFA console even though flow is received on harvester.  When this occurs you can try deleting the device from the Enabled Interface and Physical & Virtual options. If it doesn't work then try manually deleting it with the instructions below.

Environment:

Win2003 R2, Win2008 R2

Resolution:

If the device is not showing up in "Enable Interfaces", use the following directions:

From a CMD prompt on harvester:

1. mysql

2. use harvester;

Verify that the device exist.

2. select * from routers where inet_ntoa(router)=‘x.x.x.x’;
3. select * from interfaces where inet_ntoa(router)=‘x.x.x.x’;

Delete the device entries from database.

4. delete from routers where inet_ntoa(router)=‘x.x.x.x’;
5. delete from interfaces where inet_ntoa(router)=‘x.x.x.x’;

6.  use poller
7. select * from routers where address=‘x.x.x.x’; (Note the routerID)
8. delete from routers where address=‘x.x.x.x’;
9. delete from persistent_map where routerid=<Id from last query number 7>;

If the device also has SNMP data:

1. mysql –P3308 poller
2. delete from routers_snmp where routerid=<Id from last query number 7>;
3. delete from interfaces_snmp where routerid=<Id from last query number 7>;
