When you start up CA Roscoe, you get the following messages:
ROS152W: ETSO REXX INITIALIZATION FAILED - RETURN CODE: 020, REASON CODE: 021.
ROS068E: ROSCOE/ETSO: INITIALIZATION FAILED. ETSO NOT AVAILABLE.
CA Roscoe on z/OS
The cause is typically not Roscoe. There is likely a problem with REXX itself.
CA recommends that you check your REXX libraries. This is most likely a problem in REXX.
If you copied the Roscoe LOADLIB by copying modules instead of copying the whole library, you may have gotten some modules out of sync.
If you cannot find the cause, open a case with CA Technical Support and send your complete joblog, a list of all CA APARs on your system and the dump, if there was one.
This may, or may not. be accompanied by the IBM message:
IDI0056E REXX environment initialization failed
which you may find in other applications.
