Problem/Symptoms:

RO@RES Inactive or not Defined is displayed in the log when bringing up Roscoe with RACF external security specified.

Environment:

IBM RACF

Cause:

The IBM Resource Class RO@RES was not defined.

Resolution:

RO@RES is specific to RACF. Before doing this it is necessary to assemble the IBM RACF ICHERCDE and ICHRFRTB macros.  After assembling IBM RACF ICHERCDE and ICHRFRTB macros, follow the steps in the CA Roscoe Security Administration Guide r6, Section 5.2 to define RO@RES. Alternatively you must run with internal security.

Additional Information:

For more information about the ICHRRCDE module and the ICHERCDE macro parameters, see the IBM guide Security Server RACF System Programmer's Guide.
