ROC Error: "Failed to get deployment detail for overall system status widget"

Issue:

In Release Operations Center, on the Dashboard view, when a user clicks the "Failed" box within the Overall System Status widget, the following error occurs:

Failed to get deployment detail for overall system status widget

Cause:

There are two possible causes for this issue:

  • There is a problem with the web browser ROC is open in.
  • Abnormally stuck processes are interfering with report.
Resolution:

The most likely cause is a browser cache issue.  This is especially likely if some but not all users are affected.  Perform the following steps to resolve this:

  1. Log out of ROC.
  2. Clear the browser's cache (temporary files).
  3. Log back in to ROC.

If the error persists after clearing the browser cache, then there may be hung deployments or processes interfering with the report.  Processes can hang for a number of reasons, and the following knowledge base article details how to identify and remove stuck processes:
