Question:

Can the field for the Resource names in the Graphical Monitor be made longer?

Environment:
Netmaster Network Management for TCP/IP - all supported releases Netmaster Network Management for SNA - all supported releases Netmaster Network Automation - all supported releases SOLVE:Operations Automation - all supported releases
Answer:

The resource list obtained from the zoom command followed by the FORMAT command within the Graphical Monitor (i.e: /GMON) returns the following List of selectable formats:

Even the similar 'Status Monitor List Formats', both are differently handled. The first one is driven from a Graphical Monitor perspective and the second one is driven from a Resource monitor perspective.

If the 'LONGNAME' format, for example, is desired from the Graphical Monitor then this can be copied from the Resource Monitor for the corresponding Userid.

The new format will be available after copy under MODSUSR file and not in MODSDIS file. This is acceptable and legitimate customization.

All formats are not available everywhere and customization is necessary for specific requirement.

To do this customization, you need to select the option '/ASADMIN.L', which gives:
