Introduction:
Is there a way to refer to device names in other domains but avoid using FQDNs?  In a typical UNIX system, this would be done by adding a "search" parameter into /etc/resolv.conf.

Is there a way to refer to device names in other domains but avoid using FQDNs? In a typical UNIX system, this would be done by adding a "search" parameter into /etc/resolv.conf.
Environment:
PAM 3.1.1 
PAM 3.2
Answer:
Yes.  In the PAM UI >> Configuration >> Network >> Network Settings 

Here update the Domain Name section with all the domains you want to search. 

Example:

Domain Name: ca.com cai.com ondemand.ca.com

Then please click "Update".  

Note:  This will only work if you have DNS servers for both domains listed in the DNS Section.
