Question:

How do I reset the password for the 'admin' user of the API Developer Portal (ADP)?

Answer:

For resetting a locked 'admin' account for the API Developer Portal (not the account used for SSH access), you will need to perform the following steps:

  1. Login to the API Developer Portal via SSH and navigate to the root prompt
  2. Run this command from the command line (Not the MySQL Prompt):

    mysql -e 'update lrs.cmsusers set password="100d232c3616fd6b22d1610485d025c2e4c34cf0", enabled=1 where username="admin";'

This will ensure the account is enabled, and will reset the password to "7layer".

Once you have reset your password, you can then login to the API Portal with admin / 7layer, and change the password for the admin user from the "My Profile" page within the Dashboard.

Note: If you are on CR7 or higher versions, run this command instead:

mysql -e 'update lrs.cmsusers set password="100d232c3616fd6b22d1610485d025c2e4c34cf0", hmacKey=NULL, enabled=1 where username="admin";'
