Question:
We've implemented AEES256 encryption already in all our MVS lpars but 4 .
SO05264 was published last week and I would like to know what should we do after installing this ptf in the Link library :

1) SO05264 adds a new AESCACHE control option . It defaults to NO . what are CA recommendations regarding the setting of this option ?

2) TSSXTEND is affected by this ptf . Do we have to rerun TSSXTEND even though we already implement AES256 ?

3) what other ramifications exist for SO05264 ? Regards , Asher
Answer:

Q1) SO05264 adds a new AESCACHE control option . It defaults to NO . what are CA recommendations regarding the setting of this option ?

A1) Once the PTF is applied, we recommend to turn the new control option AESCACHE to ON.

Q2) TSSXTEND is affected by this ptf . Do we have to rerun TSSXTEND even though we already implement AES256 ?

A2) As far as I could check TSSXTEND is not affected by this PTF, then there is no needs to rerun it.

Q3) what other ramifications exist for SO05264 ?

A3) There is no other ramifications
