Detailed Description and Symptoms
When upgrading from 6.00A> 8.00A it is possible to upgrade the database without the reports and then move the reports over at a later point in time
Due to the huge amounts of data the statistics and reports include (database table RT/RH), it can take very long (several hours) until this data has been converted. If you do not want to shut down your system for such a long time, you can skip this process and execute it later on. Do so by removing the line "process_sql_file do_report.sql" from the file "uc_upd.txt" before starting the utility Automic.DB Load. Reports can be converted subsequently by manually executing the commands of the file "do_report.sql" in the Automic Database (e.g. for MS SQL via SQL Management Studio). No system shut down is required.
We recommend first changing the first line of the "do_report.sql" file to "exec UC_GET_OLD_REP '10', '00:00:01'" and then commenting the "drop" lines (use --). Doing so is necessary to limit negative impacts on the running system's performance. Only execute the "drop" commands when the first command has successfully been completed.
