Introduction:

This document will step through how to replace a date in an XML substring.

Environment:
TDM- Test Data ManagerFDM- Fast Data Masker
Instructions:

In this example, the ask is to change a date (1971-01-09) to a specific or current date.

This picture indicates that the date is currently set at 1971-01-09.

Edit the XML Data types:

       * Mask Type:  REGEXPREPLACE - replace expression in parm 1 with value in parm 2

       * Reg Expression: ([12]\d{3}-(0[1-9]|1[0-2])-(0[1-9]|[12]\d|3[01])) [note, this is in YYYY-MM-DD format]

          * Replace With: 2017-12-14 [this will 'hardcode' the value to be this date]

       * Re run the command and notice the date has changed.
