References to EXEC VARA objects are not correctly resolved when they are used in the parameters of other EXEC VARA objects.

This issue has only been seen in the Automation Engine
11.2.1HF1.

Investigation

  • As shown below, FIRST.VARA_EXEC calls FIRST.SCRI and returns the desired result of ABC1223 when pressing the "Preview" button.

  • A reference to FIRST.VARA_EXEC is used as a parameter in SECOND.VARA_EXEC, inside curly brackets:

Results

Expected: The reference to FIRST.VARA._EXEC should return 'ABC123'.

Actual:
The VARA reference is resolved to the data sequence label '001_PROCESS_001' instead of the correct value 'ABC123'.
