Introduction

When you want to use https-only for your UMP connections, one way is to remove http_port altogether but that has caused the wasp probe to fail at some customer sites. Also note that, other components, e.g ndg, still tested to work with http only.

The procedure below will keep the http_port setting in place while forcing http connections to https so you will always use https for secure communication to UMP.

keywords: UMP enable https HTTPS redirect configuration configure port force connections redirection

Procedure

In portal-ext.properties.nod (for NoD) or portal-ext.properties (for an on-premise customer) (file located in <Nimsoft Install Directory>/\probes\service\wasp\webapps\ROOT\WEB-INF\classes directory),

Add the following key/value pair, if it does not exist:
?
web.server.protocol=https
?
This will redirect http connections to https - so that when the customer opens http://xxxx.nimsoft.com, the browser will be redirected to https://xxxx.nimsoft.com
?
