Re-authenticate for Auto-Connect requires password twice

[Reproduction step]
1.    Create a Password View Policy with "Re-authenticate for Auto-Connect" enabled.
 Credentials -> Workflow -> Password View Policies

2.    Login to the PAM UI and go to Access section.

3.    Select the service associated with the created policy.

4.    Enter a password to the prompted "Auto Connect" dialog.

As a result, "Auto Connect" dialog is prompted again and the user is allowed to login after entering the password one more time.

This is a known issue and investigation is still underway
No solution at this point, you are required to enter the password twice in this use case.
