Issue:

Having upgraded to release r20 of the CA Database Management Solutions for DB2, an RC/Query user receives a -551 SQL error. The problem occurs when issuing a "C" or "PK" command on a Table line, in order to generate a report of the columns or packages of a table.

-551 auth-id DOES NOT HAVE THE PRIVILEGE TO PERFORM OPERATION operation ON OBJECT object-name

where object-name is either SYSACCELERATEDTABLES or SYSACCELERATEDPACKAGES.

This problem did not occur on earlier releases of RC/Query.

Cause:

The IBM DB2 Analytics Accelerator tables require that you grant users the SELECT privilege.

Resolution:

To prevent -551 errors when generating table reports in CA RC/Query® for DB2 for z/OS, grant the user ID or secondary group ID SELECT privilege on the SYSACCEL.SYSACCELERATEDTABLES and SYSACCEL.SYSACCELERATEDPACKAGES.
