This is an instructional document to help clients locate the r14.0 CA 1 maintenance and to download and apply it into their r14.0 environment utilizing the support.ca.com site.
Locating the maintenance:
You can download the most recent maintenance by logging into support.ca.com. You will then choose our product name and then hover over the "Download Center" link which will present you with "Download Solution" to click on.
After you click "Download Solution", click "Support By Product" on the left side of the page. After you click that link, it will take you to another page where you will have to enter the product name again.
Then on the next page on the right, it will show popular links which will contain "Maintenance Grid". When you click "Maintenance Grid", you can click the "Since 0000" link for r14.0.
Note: There will not be aggregate maintenance anymore starting with r14.0 and moving into the future. Please refer to the maintenance grid for current downloadable maintenance.
Downloading the maintenance:
You will then choose the PTF's that are available and download them to your cart. You can then choose the "HTTP Download Manager" or "FTP" although the first option is recommended.
Receiving and applying the maintenance:
Now download the maintenance to your PC and then upload them to your mainframe in binary form and then do the receive and apply into your r14.0 environment.
You can utilize the above method for downloading maintenance for All CA 1 releases.
Note: It is always recommended to be on the most recent CA 1 release for optimum performance and full support.
