Introduction:
CA Common Services recently distributed 4 integrity PTFS.  Each contain a HOLDDATA ACTION directing customers to execute the following steps once the maintenance is applied:
  •  Deploy updated CAW0LINK and CAW0LOAD.
  •  Refresh LLA, Restart ENF with REINIT if in use
  •  Issue the following commands:
  •  SETPROG LPA,ADD,MODNAME=CAMSDLPA,DSNAME=LNKLST,FIXED,PAGEPROTALL
  •  SETPROG LPA,ADD,MODNAME=CAMSMOD,DSNAME=LNKLST,FIXED,PAGEPROTALL

Question:
CAMSDLPA and CAMSMOD reside in the linklisted library, not the LPA library, and are currently not loaded into LPA.
Do they need to reside there?
Should I be creating a USERMOD that moves these modules from the linklist library to the LPA library?
Environment:
Applying  hypers  RO95449, RO95550, RO95551, and RO95552 to Common Services for z/OS r14.1.
Answer:
No action is needed on the part of a customer to move these modules to LPA.   During any IPL, selected CA Master modules, including CAMSDLPA and CAMSMOD, are automatically added to dynamic LPA  as the CA Master Address space is initialized.
When the HOLDDATA ACTION is executed for each of these fixes, the modules found in LINKLIST are first updated by the REFRESH LLA.  The subsequent SETPROG,LPA,ADD commands will then replace the two modules already in dynamic LPA with the new versions from Linklist.

The SETPROG command is described in the IBM Knowledge Center under the topic Managing dynamic LPA content
