Question about Unified Self Service (USS) and Embeded Entitlement Manager (EEM)

Introduction:
Customer is sharing the EEM with Service Desk and Service Catalog.
He wants to install the USS and need to confirm if USS needs to share the same EEM with other products or he can install a separate EEM.
Question:
Does the USS have to use the same EEM as Service Desk and Catalog, or USS can use a different EEM which is configured to point to the same AD as Service Desk/Catalog's EEM?

Service Management 17.x
