Procedure for reallocating the Queue Dump Data Set with CA 7.
The Queue dump data set temporarily holds the queue data being moved during a DMPQ/MOVQ operation. It must be large enough to hold the contents of all the queue data sets combined (Active, Preprocessing, Prior-Run, Ready, Request, Post processing and Trailer queues).
This data set is referenced by //UCC7QDMP DD in the CA 7 execution JCL.
To enlarge the size of the Queue Dump Data Set, do the following:
- Pre-allocate a larger queue dump dataset with a new dataset name.
Note: Make sure it is large enough to hold the contents of the combined queue datasets.
- Change the CA 7 started task JCL to point to the new queue dump dataset.
- Shut down CA 7 Workload Automation (z1 or z3).
- Restart CA 7 Workload Automation with type ERST.
As always, please contact CA Technologies support for CA 7 if you have further questions.
