We had problems with the SOI connectors server and when trying to reinstall the SOI Integration Service is not installing. The installer is not creating any folders in the directory, it is also not creating any windows service.
Investigation showed APM connector was installed on the machine and was uninstalled at some point. The old SOI integration Service was installed from SOI 4.0 but now user was trying to install IFW from SOI 4.2 and the installer popped up a window suggesting SOI version will be updated, user clicked ok and the installer ran without any problem but no SOI integration service was installed. Did the following to clean the previous IFW installation:
- Since this was a fresh installation and no other application was using Zero G Registry deleted the folder from two location C:\Program Files and C:\Program Files (x86), this is because user attempted to install SOI Integration service multiple times on multiple location.
- Also deleted CA folder
- Deleted SOI version entry from HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432node\CA\SAM registry key
- Reran the IFW installation and it installed without any problem. IFW services got installed and started fine.
