I have a problem with viewing the recorded session for network devices (Cisco Router, Switch and Linux) when those sessions were recorded while the connected user to PAM is a user from AD (in other words the authentication is LDAP) and ldap is not set in english language.

When I try to view such sessions I receive the error
Error type: RdpException
Error message: Invalid CLI session recording the header<init>(Unknown Source)

However I do not have this problem when the recorded session is for RDP sessions to Windows boxes and for the same user. Also, I do not have the problem when the recorded sessions are for a local PAM user (in my case super). So it is linked to ldap the problem.

The AD is in a Greek environment and the DN of the user contains, of course, Greek characters. The user DN shows up on the first line of recorded files. So the presence of the Greek characters on that line is causing the Viewer/Player to not interpret it correctly.

The solution is provided in PAM 2.8.1
