Issue:

Description:

As per Policy Server documentation, it states to create the "ServerCmdMsec" registry key as follows;

Location:

\\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Netegrity\Siteminder\CurrentVersion\ObjectStore
ServerCmdMsec

is Type: DWORD
and has Value: 1 or 0

But when I set this on Unix or Linux box in sm.registry, it does not seems to work, why?

Cause:
The documentation referenced shows a "Windows" example.
Resolution:

Solution:

In order to be able to use this registry on Unix and Linux systems, you need to set the type to "REG_DWORD";

\\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Netegrity\Siteminder\CurrentVersion\ObjectStore
ServerCmdMsec

type: REG_DWORD
Value: 1 or 0

"DWORD" is for the Windows OS and "REG_DWORD" is for Unix/Linux.
