Pdm_Publish creates files on the Background that are not on Standby

Document ID : KB000117199

Show Technical Document Details
Issue:
I ran pdm_publish on my "Background" server ("ServerA"), which generates some files during the process. These files were not copied to the "Standby" server ("ServerB"). If at a later point I decide to create a schema change and pdm_publish on ServerB it may not work correctly, and assume that the information doesn't exist, and try to recreate the information in the database.
Environment:
Service Desk Manager configured for Advanced Availability
Cause:
This is due to a limitation in the Advanced Availability design.
Resolution:

It is recommended to make schema changes to a single node in the environment instead of making changes between the two servers.

It is also recommended to make a backup of your Service Desk Manager install (in particular, the site\mods directory) to ensure that none of the schema information is lost or corrupted.
