OWB updates 0 Allocation Hours on team page when saved back to PPM.

Team member has 0% Allocation and 0 Allocation Hours in PPM to start.

When a resource is added to team with 0 allocation hours and project is opened and saved back from OWB, the allocation % shows 0 but the actual allocation hours updates to match 100% allocation.

Note: Resource does not have to be assigned to a task.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Create a project in PPM
  2. Add team member
    • Make dates for 1 week so 100% allocation = 40 hours
    • Change Allocation % = 0 so actual allocation = 0
  3. Open in OWB
  4. Save back to PPM
  5. Close OWB/Unlock project
  6. Refresh the PPM Team page

Expected Result: Allocation remains 0% and 0 Allocation hours

Actual Result: Allocation % remains 0% but hours update to reflect 100% Allocation (40 hours)

Applies to all supported PAS environments for specified releases.

Resolved in CA PPM 14.2 Generic Patch.

Workaround: Make a change to the allocation % in either PPM or OWB and save then set it back to the desired value and save again. If saving from OWB the value may not be correct until the 'Time Slicing' job updates the field that is displayed as Allocation on the Team tabs.
