oscomponent.environment.variable=/opt/CA/WorkloadAutomationAE/SystemAgent/WA_AGENT/profiles/WAAE.txt not set during the CA WAAE Installation

Issue:

I installed a first agent from the CA-WAAE DVD and it worked fine.

Since I installed a second agent from the AGENT DVD, my jobs don’t run because of missing entries in the PATH

Environment:

System Agent 11.3 on Linux/Unix

Cause:

On the new agent, installed from the Agent DVD, below option (for the second Autosys instance) was missing in the agentparm.txt file

“oscomponent.environment.variable_manager_XXX_SCH”

During the first installation, from the Autosys DVD, the installer found the first AutoSys installation and added this option automatically to the agentparm.txt file

This option is only used by jobs coming from Autosys

The second Agent installation, done from the Agent DVD, is more generic and does not try to find a manager installation on the same machine.

Resolution:

You need to add this option for the second Autosys instance in the agentparm.txt file by hand: (XXX is the instance name)

oscomponent.environment.variable_manager_XXX_SCH=/opt/CA/WorkloadAutomationAE/SystemAgent/WA_AGENT/profiles/XXX.txt

And define your variables in file /opt/CA/WorkloadAutomationAE/SystemAgent/WA_AGENT/profiles/XXX.txt
