Issue:
An On Premise Monitoring Station (OPMS) installation failed. Reviewing the /opt/asm/opms/logs/puppet_<date>.log file shows an error similar to the following...

2018-05-02 17:50:05 +0800 /Stage[main]/Profile::Checkpoint::Tunnel_client/Package[asm-optunnel-client]/ensure (err): change from 8.5.0.5-1 to 0:10.0.10-1 failed: Could not update: Execution of '/usr/bin/yum -d 0 -e 0 -y install asm-optunnel-client' returned 1: Error downloading packages:
asm-optunnel-client-10.0.10-1.noarch: [Errno 256] No more mirrors to try.

Environment:
Installation on a 10.x OPMS instance on Redhat.
Cause:
The cause of the issue can be investigated further by attempting a manual install of the package with verbose logging..
yum -v install <package>

In this case, the "asm-optunnel-client" package failed to install and the command "yum -v install asm-optunnel-client" was run. Output of this command showed the following:

Downloading packages:
asm-optunnel-client-10.0.10-1. FAILED

Trying other mirror.
asm-optunnel-client-10.0.10-1. FAILED
http://yum.watchmouse.com/7/smartpop/prod/x86_64/asm-optunnel-client-10.0.10-1.noarch.rpm: [Errno 12] Timeout on http://yum.watchmouse.com/7/smartpop/prod/x86_64/asm-optunnel-client-10.0.10-1.noarch.rpm: (28, 'Operation too slow. Less than 1000 bytes/sec transferred the last 30 seconds')

This timeout occurred as the package was downloading more slowly than the configured thresholds allowed by Yum.

Resolution:
To address this issue, add the following to /etc/yum.conf 's [main] section...
[main]
<existing arguments>
minrate=1
timeout=300

These changes lower the minimum download speed yum accepts before terminating the connection and raises the timeout for the connection. Finally, run...
yum clean all

...and the re-run the installer. Should any problems persist, please contact CA Support.
