Last Modified Date : 21/09/2018
Show Technical Document Details
Issue:
Devices with Network_Address attribute set to 0.0.0.0 or <empty> do not properly alarm during
steady-state but do alarm at startup. This causes ‘ghost’ alarms to appear during FT alarm synchronization.
Environment:
Spectrum 10.2.3
Cause:
Devices with Network_Address attribute set to 0.0.0.0 or <empty> do not properly alarm during
steady-state but do alarm at startup. This causes ‘ghost’ alarms to appear during FT alarm synchronization.
Resolution:
SNMP and ICMP based models have been extended with new intelligence to pre-validate changes to
Network_Address attribute, blocking changes to invalidate addresses.
