Description

When Service Desk r12.5 CA SDM and Business Intelligence 3.0 are installed on separate servers, it is important to verify ODBC connectivity of the Business Intelligence ODBC connection to Service Desk.

Solution

When attempting to verify ODBC connectivity of the Business Intelligence 3.0 ODBC connection to Service Desk r12.5 CA SDM, the following error message is received:

[DataDirect][ODBC OpenAccess SDK driver][OpenAccess SDK SQL Engine]Cannot open file
'%NX_ROOT%\add-ons\oaserver60\ip\schema\csv\oa_tables.csv' Error Code 0 [10202]

The 'OA_TABLES.CSV' file referenced is on the Service Desk 12.5 CA SDM system.

Verify that the %NX_ROOT%\add-ons\oaserver60 directory exists and that the Windows Group 'ALL USERS' have READ rights to this directory.

If this directory is missing or incomplete, extract the 'oa60_server.zip' file at %NX_ROOT%\add-ons to create the directory.

Verify that the ODBC connectivity of the Business Intelligence 3.0 ODBC connection to Service Desk r12.5 CA SDM tests successfully.
