When attempting to connect to ODATA using Power BI Server, the following error is noted:
“OData: Request failed: The remote server returned an error: (500) Internal Server Error. (An error has occurred while accessing the data source: CA34001PDataSource).”
Upon further investigation we have figured out that we cannot test the connection from within Power BI Server portal either. The error we receive there is:
“Log on failed. Ensure the user name and password are correct.”
The correct user name and password is being used, and same username and password works fine on the Power BI Desktop environment.
CA PPM 15.3 and above (SAAS Only)
Unfortunately currently CA does not support the use of PowerBI Server. We only support Excel, PowerBI Desktop, and Tableau for accessing data using the ODATA connection.
