Issue:

Running step IDOBLOAD for obid translate table  the job fails with the following message:  OBI008E CAF Open failed 12(00F30040) Plan not available 

         

Cause:

The IDB2 product was not selected for the INS portion of the install and this prevented the process from knowing that Insight should have been bound.

 

It's possible also that the Started Task userid lacks the authority to execute the plan IDBOxxxx.

 

Resolution:

This error occurs when the 3 Insight plans IDBOPLAN, IDBUPLAN, IDBSPLAN (specifically the IDBOPLAN) have not been bound.  

Check the SSID0002 bind job that was previously ran to bind product plans and packages included the Insight plans.

or invoke the Install Clist and select option 3  Tailor.                    

 Select Option - Execute DB2 Tasks                                     

 Select the subsystem that this job needs to run on                       

 Select the INS       Bind Product Plans  step                            

 You can then select option 0 for all the plans, but edit the job to only bind the Insight Plans.

Execute the above prior to the execution of the Insight datacollector job.
