Environment:
CA PPM v14.2.0.237 03 10 CA PPM Schedule Connect 13.0 Open Workbench v2.0.0 Java Standard Edition 1.6.0_29-b11
Cause:

Went to Control Panel -> Programs and Features -> saw CA PPM Schedule Connect 13.0 listed, this is the wrong version, it should be v14.2.

Open Workbench (OWB) and CA Schedule Connect must be the same version and patch level CA PPM.

Resolution:

Please see the Compatibilities section from the Release Notes, please make sure you use the correct Java version and CA Open Workbench version.

This can be found by going to https://docops.ca.com/home

For v14.2 please see:

https://docops.ca.com/ca-ppm/14-2/en/release-information/release-notes-on-premise#ReleaseNotes(OnPremise)-Compatibilities

Please also see the Project Management document for uninstalling and installing Open Workbench, for example if you are using CA PPM v14.2 please see:

https://docops.ca.com/ca-ppm/14-2/en/using/project-management/manage-projects-with-open-workbench-owb/install-and-configure-open-workbench-owb

1. In this case scenario we uninstalled the following:

 CA PPM Schedule Connect 13.0
 Open Workbench v2.0.0

2. Rebooted the machine

3. Then went to CA PPM -> click on 'Home' -> click on 'Account Settings' -> click on 'Software Downloads' tab -> click on 'Download' link for 'Open Workbench (x86)'

This installed Open Workbench and CA Schedule Connect from this CA PPM version and patch level.

Rebooted the machine afterwards and now it works.

Please note the same principle applies to other versions of CA PPM.
