We would like to be able to use our own business font when creating knowledge documents. This would enable us to provide a business look and feel to the documents that we publish to our employees.

We feel that customers should be able to add their own fonts.

When you open the drop-down-list in the HTML editor to select a font, you get a choice of 8 predefined fonts. This list can be expanded as follows:

  1. Copy the file htmlarea.js from $NX_ROOT/sdk/scripts to $NX_ROOT/site/mods/www/wwwroot/scripts
  2. Use a text editor such as wordpad to edit the file
  3. Search for the string "this.fontname"
  4. Here you see the predefined fonts:
    this.fontname = { "Arial":                   'arial,helvetica,sans-serif', "Courier New":         'courier new,courier,monospace', "Georgia":               'georgia,times new roman,times,serif', "Tahoma":              'tahoma,arial,helvetica,sans-serif', "Times New Roman": 'times new roman,times,serif', "Verdana":              'verdana,arial,helvetica,sans-serif', "impact":                'impact', "WingDings":           'wingdings' };
  5. Just add the new font to this list:
  6. "My company's font": 'MyCompanysFont'
  7. Reboot the server
  8. clear the Browser cache

If you now open the HTML Editor, you will see the newly added font:
