  • QS33794 SPECIAL: Remove EXPDT date check during allocate
  • LS47513 SPECIAL REMOVE DATE CHECK FOR  EXPDT DURING ALLOCATE

PTF RO86929 introduces a new sysin parameter BYPEXPDT with a default of OFF.  Omitting this parameter or setting it to OFF causes Roscoe to work as before, i.e. expiration date checking is enabled.

Instructions:

PTF RO86929 introduced a new sysin parameter BYPEXPDT

Syntax

BYPEXPDT Parameter

     BYPEXPDT=OFF|ON

This apar replaces the functionality of these special apars by implementing a parameter, BYPEXPDT to control whether or not the EXPDT date will be checked during allocate.

  • QS33794 SPECIAL: Remove EXPDT date check during allocate
  • LS47513 SPECIAL REMOVE DATE CHECK FOR  EXPDT DURING ALLOCATE

The functionality is to remove the EXPDT date check during allocate for sites that use EXPDT for special checking, to allow an EXPDT that may be less than today's date.

NOTE: With this solution applied a two digit year will be 19XX. A full 4 digit year must be used for dates greater than 2000.
