By installing the new MSP Interface provided with the PPM v14 versions you may experience an issue where changes made through Microsoft Project (2010 or 2013) not saving data back to Clarity:
After updating a project with Microsoft Project the data are not saved back to PPM when you click on CA Clarity Integration tab, 'Save' button.
And an unexpected pop up message appears "A file with this name already exists, do you want to overwrite?"
Upon clicking 'OK', the new changes are saved to the local project copy only and are not saved back to PPM.
The issue is the result of the setting "Hide Extension for known file types" being checked.
This setting can be found from My computer>Organize>Folder and search options>view
Important: This option should be unchecked.
The issue was reported as CLRT-75982 and determined to be not a bug. The online documentation has been updated to advise users to clear the Windows Explorer setting of "Hide extension for known file types".
