Introduction:
.NET Agent installation issue.
Question:

Why is there a registry error after performing the default installation of the .NET Agent?

 

 

 

Environment:
Introscope from 9.7 to 10x
Answer:

After completing the default installation of the .NET Agent, the Agent does not appear in the Workstation Investigator. The following error appears in the

Install_tasks.log file:

Executed command: C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v1.1.4322\RegAsm.exe C:\Introscope\wily\bin\wily.AutoProbe.dll /codebase
Exit code was: 100
Stdout was: Microsoft (R) .NET Framework Assembly Registration Utility 1.1.4322.573

STDERR WAS: REGASM ERROR: ACCESS TO THE REGISTRY KEY HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\COMPONENT CATEGORIES\{62C8FE65-4EBB-45E7-B440-6E39B2CDBF29} IS DENIED.
