Question:

My Ideal program is receiving message 1-IDADXSES03E - Maximum of 20 DBIDs already have ASSIGNments under CA Ideal Version 11.0 but my program has more that 20 ASSIGNs already. Is this message correct and there a way to get around this limit?

Answer:

The limit for Active ASSIGNed DBIDs is 100. It was increased from 20 to 100 in prior to CA Ideal version 11.0 but the message was not updated until CA Ideal Version 14.0 as follows:

IDADXSES03 - Maximum of 100 DBID ATZs already have ASSIGNments

Additional Information:

Note: The control block that holds the ASSIGNs has an maximum size, so if you have a lot of ASSIGN REPORTs or ASSIGN PGMs, it would cut down the space for ASSIGN DBID's. The limit of 100 is only possible if you have no other ASSIGN's using this space. Reduce the number of ASSIGN DBID commands or the number of ASSIGN AUTHORIZATION commands.
