Issue:

The CA PPM Mobile Time Management (MTM) application allows users to manage time entries through a mobile phone.

Different to login from desktop, MTM does not support Single Sign-On (SSO). In the SSO environment, it would fail and throw out an error :

Server error
Error from server, please retry

Solution:

If SSO is provided by CA SiteMinder,  the solution is to disable SiteMinder authentication for MTM, then login using the CA PPM username and password from the mobile application. It would enable MTM goes through SSO and connects to CA PPM application server to process the authentication.

1. MTM use "/niku/odata" URI to call the CA PPM API. Please ensure "/niku/odata" is set as unprotected in the SiteMinder. If  "/niku/odata" does not exists in SiteMinder policy, please add it and configure it as unprotected. It enable MTM to go through SiteMinder and not be authenticated by SiteMinder

2. In MTM, input the SSO portal URL, then input the CA PPM user name and password. The CA PPM application server would process authentication for the request from MTM.
