Introduction:
PROC SYNCSORT now called MFX.
Question:
How can I use  PROC MFX via the SAS for CA MICS batch jobs instead of Syncsort?
Answer:
You should only need to add the PROC SYNCSORT load library to your STEPLIB concatenation (MICS JCLDEFC/JCLDEF has STEPLIB1/STEPLIB2; see PIOM checklist in Section 4.4.7).
You will also see evidence in your SASLOG where PROC SYNCSORT is invoked for a given PROC SORT SAS program step.

Additional Information:

Our SYNCSORT is upgraded and our SAS batch process is using the ' PROC MFX’   which is the library we used for the steplib per instructions in the PIOM.

Since we added this " STEPLIB2  SASCP.V940C.SORT.LINKLIB " to the JCLDEFC in the MICS parms lib and populated it down thru each unit, MICS is utilizing the proc mfx.
(The library mentioned is where our proc mfx is stored.)
