Metrics for Virtual Service Response Time are not available in DevTest Portal

Issue:
In DevTest Portal, under Reporting, VSE Metrics, when selecting Virtual Response Time and specifying a time range, no chart is being created.
If a different time range is specified, the chart is generated.
Environment:
All supported releases of DevTest.
Cause:
The VSE collects the metrics details in memory and then write out the details to the database configured with the Registry.
For the VSE Metrics, the following tables are verified:
VSE_METRICS_EVENTS
VSE_METRICS_PERIODICS
VSE_METRICS_TXN_COUNTS
When verifying the database, there is no data available for the time range specified.
Looking at the log files, we could confirm there is a database connectivity issue.
 
Resolution:
The site.properties file holds the database configuration.
There were two connection strings enabled on the site.properties file.
After the incorrect connection string was commented out and DevTest components were restarted, the VSE Metrics Reports were available.
