Symptom: 

 

A OneClick User is unable to launch OneClick Client due to a Java notification error: “Application blocked by Java Security.”

 

Environment:  

 

Platform-Independant

 

Cause: 

 

Upgrade to Java 1.8.xx introduces a change to Java Security where “Medium” setting is no longer available. This may cause Java to block OneClick access due to higher security restrictions.

 

Resolution:

 

1. If it has not been done already, add the OneClick URL to the "site exceptions" list:

 

Control Panel > Java > Java Security > Site Exceptions

 

2. While in the Java Control Panel, go to the Java tab > View. Make a note of the most recent version of Java installed.

 

3. In a browser, go to OneClick web page > Administration > OneClick Client Configuration.

Add the most recent JRE version number into "Supported JRE Version" window.
