Description:

What is the maximum number of permits that can be permitted to an acid?

Solution:

There is no fixed limit for the number of permits to an ACID, but the ACID can not exceed the maximum acid size (MAXACIDSIZE) defined for that system. The MAXACIDSIZE is defined when the security file is allocated. To find the current MAXACIDSIZE for the system, use an acid with the CONSOLE attribute and issue TSS MODIFY. Then look for the MAX_ACID_SIZE(nnnnK).

NOTE: For TYPE(DEPT) ACIDS, with RO43262 applied in CA Top Secret r15, the maximum size can be set to 1024 using the ORGACIDSIZE= parameter in TSSMAINT. This is for TYPE(DEPT) ACIDs only.
