Introduction:

We are currently having an issue in Fast Data Masker (FDM) when masking with HASHLOV that will require more then 2 Hash Columns with SQL SERVER.  There is no Index on the table. Many of our tables do not have unique keys, and therefore we have to combine many fields to make it unique.

Question:

The data requirement is to combine more than 2 columns which we know works due to our testing. We would like to be able to go up to 5 columns to make a unique identification. Is it possible to have more than 2 columns?

Environment:
FDMSQL SERVER
Answer:

Yes, you can have as many column names as you want separated by commas in the unique columns column in the masking csv.  Please note that this is true for HASH also.

Please note: if editing the csv by hand, the whole value would need to be enclosed in double quotes.
