Issue/Problem/Symptoms:

Under specific environmental and job definition conditions, executing a job that invokes the csh may result in many spawned processes similar to the following:

/bin/csh /opt/CA/WorkloadAutomationAE/autosys/test/bin/test -d /usr/lib64/qt-3.3

Environment:

*NIX, Workload Automation AE r11.3.5 & r11.3.6

Cause:

Environment conflict between Workload Automation AE and the QT Framework, which is a cross-platform application development framework. To encounter this problem, the following criteria has been found to exist:

1. /etc/profile.d/qt.csh, which contains entries similar to: test-d "$QTPREFIX" && setenv QTDIR (and much more)

2. /etc/csh.cshrc modified to contain: source /etc/profile.d/qt.csh

3. AutoSys job invoking csh

Resolution/Workaround:

Remove from /etc/auto.profile, the PATH entry containing $AUTOSYS/test/bin:
