Long LDAP Passwords Cause Problems with Web Viewer Passphrase

Issue:
LDAP users with passwords greater than 8 characters could not log in after passphrase support was introduced for Web Viewer.  A workaround of only specifying 8 characters for this password allowed users to log in, but of those, 2 users lost access to their repositories.
Environment:
Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP)
Resolution:

This will be included in CUMULATIVE BUILD 193 FOR WEB VIEWER 12.1  (to be published soon) or higher.
It will truncate any secured repository logon at 8 characters, unless the newly added checkbox option “PassPhrase Supported on LPAR” is checked. The default is for that box being unchecked, so unless you have LPARs which accept pass phrases, no action needs to be taken.

Build 193, PTF SO06678, adds a "PassPhrase Supported on LPAR" checkbox to the Web Viewer Administration->Repository Definition screen.

From this build forward, when an LPAR running DRAS tasks does not support PassPhrases, nothing needs to be done.  When an LPAR running DRAS tasks  allows PassPhrases, the Repository Definition for each Repository Location defined for the LPAR must be updated by checking the "PassPhrase Supporte
 on LPAR"field.
