In the License section of the System Overview, the column Used(Host) will show 0 even though there are active agents for that license IF any of the agent categories have the maximum number of agents set to 999999.
In versions prior to 11, the column displayed the correct number of licenses used. However, with the increase in the maximum number of agents to 999999, the calculation caused performance issues and so there was a change to display the Used(Host) count as 0 for any agent set to 999999.
However, in the fix versions listed below, a change was made to the calculation and the license information now displays correctly no matter what value is in the maximum number of agents column.
The screenshot below shows the issue. As you can see there are some agents that have 999999 licenses and so in the Used(Host) column the values are not computed and show 0.
- There are 40 licenses (count=40) for EX.OS.WIN.
- There are 5 active Windows Agents.
- If you have an agent in your License that shows 999999 (six 9's), then the Used(host) column will not be computed and will show 0.
- If there are no agents in your License that shows 999999, then the Used(Host) will show 5.
For customers with hundreds of Agents, calculation can take a long time. A "999999" (dummy value) in the Count column is an indication for AE not to calculate to improve performance. Changed calculation method to get correct count for all agents.
