Issue:

Problem comes up after installation when running the commands hdbsetup to upgrade the database and svrenc to make a password file.

“/opt/CA/scm/lib/hdbsetup: error while loading shared libraries: libncurses.so.5: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory”

“[CAI/PT][ODBC Oracle Dynamic driver]Environment variable ORACLE_HOME="(null)" does not point to a valid directory; libclntsh.so in /usr/lib/oracle/12.1/client/lib.“

“/opt/CA/scm/lib/svrenc: error while loading shared libraries: libpam.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory”

“/opt/CA/scm/lib/svrenc: error while loading shared libraries: libaudit.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory”

Environment:
Installing Harvest v12.6 on a new Linux 6.6 (santiago) 64 bit Harvest installed from directory ‘linux_x86’ (etpki.tar.gz lic98.tar.gz odbc311.tar.gz pec474.tar.gz scm.tar.gz).
Cause:

Harvest Linux 12.6 is a 32bit app and the direct reason of the errors are the missing 32 bit libraries.

Resolution:

Create a soft link of libaudit.so.0 -> libaudit.so.1.0.0 inside the lib folder and try again.

If still doesn’t work try the same above but softlink inside /usr/lib folder.
